After a student visits the doctor following a sports-related injury, Fairfax County requires you to have the appropriate medical release forms signed by your doctor before you can return to competition. FCPS and the Virginia High School League (VHSL) have developed several policies and guidelines designed to provide the safest environment for athletic participation. These include a return-to-play or "Care of the injured athlete while participating in FCPS Athletics" policy.
